Aunt Mary’s Cranberry Orange Sauce

Aunt Mary’s Cranberry Orange Sauce

My mom has been making this cranberry sauce since I was a little girl. It is from my Dad’s Aunt Mary. I never met her, but my Dad’s two memories he shares about her is that she made these cranberries and that she gave him a 1949 Dodge in 1966. Unfortunately, a year later, he blew up the engine. Fortunately though, they were able to put a new engine it and he continued driving it for years! My Dad does not like any cranberries or this sauce, but he loved his Aunt Mary!

This is now my family’s favorite and the only cranberries they will eat at Thanksgiving. Even my mother in law loves this sauce! We made 4 batches this Thanksgiving. It is equally sweet and bitter and tastes great with my mom’s homemade stuffing recipe. Once you eat this, you will never go back to the can!
