Homemade Bread Crumbs

This is such a great use for a bread mishap or for those crumbs in the bottom of your bread bag! Fresh bread that is too dry or a little stale will work well too. These taste great without the added ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Homemade bread of any kind, can be slightly stale or even bread that didn’t rise all of the way, or a delicious loaf! This can be wheat, white, whole spelt, einkorn, you name it…

Directions

Blend bread finely in blender (to your liking). Store in airtight container and freeze until ready to use.

Homemade Seasoned Bread Crumbs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup finely blended homemade sourdough bread crumbs, whole spelt sourdough bread crumbs are posted above, but any kind of bread crumb will work
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon course Celtic sea salt or 1/4 teaspoon fine Redmonds real salt

Directions

Mix all ingredients and use in recipes that call for seasoned or Italian bread crumbs.
